Andrea Nardello
Andrea Nardello
Andrea Nardello. Singer-songwriter, human being, troubador.

Philly's Andrea Nardello has garnered favorable comparisons to Melissa Etheridge and Shawn Colvin for melding pop songwriting smarts with a confessional and literate songwriting style, exploring relationships, romance, and her family life. She addresses these topics and more on her new EP Human, a record produced with long-time friend and collaborator Matt Duke in Nardello’s home.

Nardello says, “Life is hard. We love. We lose. We get stuck. Loved ones die. People overcome unthinkable circumstances. For me, Human is a collection of songs that explores vulnerable topics. Loving someone when they are broken. Striving to challenge yourself when you are stuck. The final stages of life and all that is unknown. It is truly a soundtrack of my life and the people in it. I always get nervous before releasing new music and my only hope is that anyone who listens can connect to these songs in some special way.”

Nardello also spends time fundraising for important causes like The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and The MILE (Music Is Love Exchange). She has completed two service trips to Guatemala in support of the MILE: a network of artists, musicians, and music lovers that bring positivity and change to the lives of disadvantaged and underserved children, strengthening families and communities both in the U.S. and abroad. Nardello is always willing to help, offer her time and believes that music is a universal language that helps heal and connects us all.

Sonja Sofya
Sonja Sofya honed her musical chops through intense classical piano and voice study, but found a creative outlet through songwriting at an early age. “I had some friends who formed an indie-rock band my freshman year of high school,” she recalls, “But though I begged, they wouldn’t let me join -- it wasn’t something girls were supposed to do. So I decided I’d write my own music instead!” Years later, Sonja has carved out a reputation for “nimble pianowork and powerhouse vocals” (Philly Current Magazine), and has performed throughout Philadelphia and the Mid Atlantic in rooms like Milkboy, Boot & Saddle, The Tin Angel, and North Star Bar (Philly), Caffe Vivaldi, Jalopy Theatre, and Pete's Candy Store (NYC), Club Passim (Boston), Radio Bean (Burlington), Midtown Scholar (Harrisburg), and The Black Fox (Washington, DC). She's shared the stage with artists such as Chris Kasper, Birdie Busch, Aaron Parnell Brown, Joe D'Amico of Mason Porter, Amy Regan, David Cope, and Dawn Hiatt.
